Best of the best event has happened! I feel that the colour yellow is an extremely great colour. Without the colour, yellow, we would not be a great wushu team as we would have been before. The link is that our wushu shirt's colour is yellow. With the colour yellow, we are strong and mighty and this would allow us to be bonded as an entire team. However, the colour yellow is uncontrollable. The colour yellow is a might that not many are able to comprehend. With this, i would like to conclude by saying that please work hard and control our shirts! Please cooperate and we would all be bonded by the colour yellow, instead of being controlled by it. Yellow is like a fire, it's a good servant, but a bad master. Hope my great philosophical comment has helped wushu rise to greater heights!

To 'C' boys: At least, you guys had gave ur best shot. It's the proccess that's important. Winning is not at all important ( by sam), it how you had fight till the end. You may have lost in the comp, but you won in ur team spirit!

To 'B' girls: Since you guys had alr won so much in the past few years, yes, it's time for y'all to give the chance to other schools. You guys still achieved SOMETHING! * claps! *

To 'A' girls: It's a new division in DHS. And the fact that you guys had alr achieved so much in ur 1st year had proven sth : you guys sure pwned others in the next coming years. I really admire you guys for ur heartwork, especially our ex-chaiperson: Gek Teng.

Priscilla here, bringing you guys the latest news.

It's regarding Inter sch comp 2009. Jiti will NOT be held at Toa Payoh Indoor Stadium. It'll be held at cchms, same as those days where we'll be competing our individual events. This's probably due to the separation between wuzong & sports council.

So let's suffer... cchms gonna be a small & stuffy place... jiayou ppl. don't be despair! haha! =)

As maria had posted,would y'all want a wushu jacket? I've been asking around these few days.So far,no one said no..So we most probably will be having a CCA jacket!! =)

Purpose:
1) We can wear it to jiti at Toa Payoh stadium,since it's gonna be cold there!
2) We'll look cool & zai! =)
3) For some wushu events.
4) Prize giving.
5) CCA identity.

Next thing, what color would y'all want? It's unlikely we'll be getting a black jacket,since there're alr alot of DHS CCAs out there using black jackets.To be special,I propose a white one.Some of them wants white too.As for the designs & font color,suggestions & ideas are most most welcomed.Bo Long may be helping us with the designs.However,it had yet to be confirmed, due to his packed schedule all the way till mid march.So ppl,we need back up plan!!!!

PS: Designs of jackets are to be simple.No vulgarites.No offensive words.Must have the word "dhs" or "dunman high school",or DHS logo.
(Because all the designs will have to be approved/permitted by the sch disciplinary admin.)

Pls take note that the school will NOT be sponsoring us for this.But fear not,every jacket will definitely be within the budget of $20. =)

Hello all! Bolong here, and I've just solved the previous bandwidth exceeded problem. Instead, I even edited the image and now post columns are sooooo much larger you can add your videos and images without worrying it goes out of the column space! Yeah quite a lot of edits, hope this version fits your tastebuds :)

Erm 1 more thing, I need someone to take over the overall admin of this blog, also edit the new notifications at the side bar (eg. the wushu committee, the new funds to pay). Introduction as well please, basically just everything. I will be making the current sec 3s (meaning next year sec 4s) admin positions to the blog, but will not be removing the admin position of the year 4s and up. Now quite a lot of people have admin priviledges, so just make sure you don't misuse them. Thanks a lot! BYE ;)

hello, zhiyi here! posting some pictures of our lovely clean storeroom (:

ella, felisia and I did the final touching up of clearing the pigsty, and those that didn't come, I say you all missed out! although it was tiring, we had our share of laughter, because digging up all of lian lao shi's treasures were definitely hilarious! we even found a giant photo album of him! HAHA.

we also played one of his thousand CDs in those boxes and had a fun time laughing at all the oldie songs, which are like so gay xDD

anyway here are the few pictures that I took:

Look! we found books like these in his boxes. Ella took Insomnia, the yi4 ling2 ling2 yi4, Empire of the Sun, and another book called The Family. cool eh, the books? haha (: that chinese book is a comic book you know! it looks like this inside-

it's all in fan2 ti3 zi4, but she can read anyway (: the contents are slightly gory and scary, like some detective book...

we laughed when we saw this. STAR WARS! the three books are a series!

okay, so after all the laughing, we finally finished up clearing the storeroom! it looks like this now:

the beige-y thing in the middle is ella's hand. she tried to spoil the picture, haha! as you can see our cramped storeroom is actually quite spacious. I think we have one of the biggest storerooms, yet it seems so small because we didn't organise it properly. I guess I didn't do my job very well... =/

oh, and look at all those boxes! again, most of it contains Lian Lao Shi's belongings =.= oh, and we squeezed our two banners into the boxes too, lol. we also wiped the white shelf and most of the stuff. they were full of dust and dunno-what-organism-I-don't-think-we-wanna-know's faeces. one wipe and the cloth was BLACK. gross. we also swept the floor and cleaned up the dead bird's mess. some of the poor bird's feathers are still stuck to the ground. we couldn't remove it. so see, the floor is a proper grey now, unlike the horror that was before.

lastly, presenting the three angels! LOL. not very well taken because I'm not that good at self-taking. x) we're all tired from a hard day's work.

Hey ppl! It's me again. Heard abt ur performance in wushu comp. Well, i am quite proud of wad u all have, though i am always nt able to go there n gv u support.. Very happy with our c boys and c gals(medals-producing categories). LOLx. These year 1 and 2s are really very IMBA. But in general, i have the confidence that dhs wushu will break record again for the competitions, in terms of medal tally! =p

and ya, heard that some of u all are quite sad abt ur results. Well, this is life. We have to face it and live with it. Everyone are fighting for the medals, who does not? but there are only 4 ppl who can make it. . . sometimes, we cant get the results that we want, but then if we tried our best, at least we wun have any regrets! If this yr cant, fight for nxt yr... Success comes with a series of hard work. (especially those who missed the medals by jus a little). So, dun stop and dun give up! 3 more days to fight, so have a strong mentality, people!

This yr's score has been freakin high, and ya, OMG, many ppl have unexpectedly scored damn high scores, which surprises me a lot. I feel rather glad for all of u! To those gold medalists, continue striving for the best! To those still fighting, jiayou, jiayou and uh... still jiayou!

I really wanna come, but seriously, i am desperate for time! So hope tat i can come next week and see all of u competing, esp the juniors who i have seen for the past 2 years. Good luck to all and have fun!

hi people. wushu comp is going into the 3rd day soon. so far we've been doing quite well. at least we got more gold medals than last year. haha. way to go people!

to those who nvr win anything, its perfectly fine. in every competition, theres gonna be someone who wins and someone who doesnt. if u dont know, so far, for those who didnt win, u all were just a few placing away from the 4th. lesser than 10 placing. and even if u dont win anything, so what? we tried our best. thats whats important. we go up, we pia, we've got no regrets. whats important is u know u've reached your standard despite the tensed competition atmosphere. winning or not winning, thats another thing. if u feel really angry, u should just pack up your feelings, dont look back, and continue to pia for the next event, be it individual or ji ti and win your medals back. always rmb, our team is always there to support u, no matter if u win or dont.

to those who won, congrats and keep it up! we must continue to fight and do dhs wushu proud! and if we do well enough, our dearest teacher ic will give us some money for us to have dinner and celebrate after ji ti day.

hey guys, this is gonna be a super short post.
just wanna congratulate all those that won, and to those that didnt,
work even harder for your remaining events/jiti and win okay!

everybody wants to win, but not everybody can, but whats most important is to have self-confidence and tell ourselves that we CAN do it, no matter how much harder we have to pia.
everybody's getting very sian of training, training and training but when we wanna win, this is the amount of effort we have to put in, maybe even more.
we shouldn't be giving up now, especially for jiti, but helping each other and that regardless of the final results, we walked through this as a team, and a team we will always be. think of the days we stayed in school till 7pm just to train. we've been through so much together and im sure each and everybody wants to win something. we can do this, together as a team, and no matter what the outcome is, lets not be disappointed and take this whole thing as a game, as an experience, and treasure the laughter and tears we shared together as a team, especially with the year 4s.

ya, i heard quite alot of gossips from dhs wushu. u all are so freakin scandalous... hahahs.. but then this shd be the spirit of wushu wad. work hard, play hard, gossip hard, like me! hahahahs.

HELLO GUYS! its bi-annual kaleidoscope 2008 opening! (okay this is not a very nice photo of the ending pose. waiting for melinda to send me the photos she took(: )

below is the what i recorded for wushu during performance. haha the file is big so it will take a while. sry if its abit unstable, my hand was shaking. but the performance was not bad, considering we were at the track, it was abit wet and the sch just popped confetti all over the track.

Hi everyone. These are the training dates for march holidays as requested to be put up:

1. 10 Mar (Mon) 10.30am to 1.30pm
2. 11 Mar (Tues) 2pm to 5pm

Oh hi! I am back again.... Nice to see the blog alive again! I know it is becoz of me la... Hahahas. Thanks to different sources, i know more about this year's year 1s.... they are really really shocking.. Alamak, wad has happened to the world man? My sources include zz, ruixin... hahas, jus to name a few.

Oh ya, i am officially not in VJ Wushu! Well, the coaches got ask me go lar... but becoz of my parents and other reasons, ya, so i dun land up in the CCA. I regretted a little at first, but then haiz.. stiu have to get on with life man! But i will stiu go and see ur comp when i am free. Also, plz update me on any latest gossips, events and happenings in wushu, so that i wun lag when i go back..

Hahas. This blog looks dead. I was supposed to blog much earlier, but then i am too busy le la... LOLx.

Anyway, i wanna blog about the new wushu juniors this year! Frankly speaking, i think they are damn good and enthu. Nvr seen such juniors for a long long time... [no offence, ppl] but they really can make DHS wushu life more fun and happy!!! Hahas. I daresay the juniors this year is one of the best batches so far that i have ever seen, but then sometimes they can be quite irritating and abit rude at times la. Apart frm all these, i really feel that they are quite cute, at least for some...

I cant rmb most of the juniors' names... gimme some time! I can only rmb jonathan, jerome, wenxi, and the gals who tell me lame jokes. Hahas. Holy shit, i seriously cant rmb liao! i wan jonathan to be my godson man, coz he leaves me a very good impression from the start... SEX PERVERT! Lolx. Eh, Zhen zhou, my bro, Wenxi is not bad man! Hahas, i nearly mistook her for ruixin lar. Lolx... [ZZ, u shd know wad to do ahh?] HAHAHAS. Just joking!

Hmm... serious stuff. Compy is starting soon. Happy to see u all trying hard for grp events. =) even those who were no so enthu before also managed to do their part. Glad to see that! And ya, i may join VJ Wushu Team and maybe get to join comp this year! So ya, hope to see all of u around during the comp... This year sec 1 ppl seriously shocked me! Hahahas.

Wushu Unite!

Er. Hi ppl! Chee here! Slackin in VJ comp lab when i was supposed to be doin some song lyrics thingy. Lolx.

Things are gettin bad now in Wushu, i heard, as many ppl wan to quit Wushu after their Year 4s (which are nt very surprising). Well, if all of u quit, then how i go and be ur Wushu I/C when i am in VJ? Frankly speakin, i am stiu considering tis offer though, coz i wan to see Wushu ppl again! Hahahs.

Seriously, if u all really HATE Wushu so much, then u can just quit. Jus as wad i say, we are livin in a democratic society lah, it's ur choice. I know there may be some ppl who purposely irritate u sometimes, but hey, THAT'S LIFE! But let's say, if u dun really dislike Wushu and have some 感情, then at least make Wushu as a second CCA when u turn Year 5. Dun jus quit lyk tat!

Now Wushu have serious lack of ppl, and the juniors are nt as enthu. So the rest, especially the YEAR 4s, shd stand up and do ur best to help Wushu to tide over tis yr. Tis yr is going to be a MAD year for many ppl, esp with the compy in april and blah blah. So at least make the juniors unite tgt, and make them lyk Wushu. I know this seems difficult, but then at least shd jus try. If i can lah, i can make a trip down to dhs and see how are things like (though it is damn far).

Now i finally unds why hongwei last time asks me to bond with the juniors, but apparently, i fail! So now, i seriously dun wan u all to repeat my mistake, serious. I am nt jokin! There are rumours sayin that Wushu will be disbanded shd the enrolment and achievements r nt as gd (sources undefined).

1st Training in 2008

Hello everyone.

Training starts on 7th Jan 2008 (Mon) 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Please be there as early as possible. Please note that from next year onwards, EVERY training is COMPULSORY. Those who are unable to go pls give me or melinda a MC, parent letter or leave form. Those without any of those will be considered skipping training without a valid reason and your names will be submitted to Lian Lao Shi.

Being nice people, we have decided to 'erase' your records with us this year and those who have not been coming to training this year without valid reasons, you had better start coming for every training next year because I can't guarantee your parents won't get to know your attendance rate. WUSHU TRAININGS ARE NOT FOR YOU TO GO ONLY WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE IT.

For those who haven't paid the $10 (aug, sep, oct fund), $6 (nov, dec fund), $15 (wushu shirt) and $20 (wushu chalet), please pay on 7th Jan as well to yixiang or bolong. If you don't pay up, we'll just find our way to your classes. So don't think by not paying during training you can just continue to not pay. And if you don't pay, you won't get your wushu shirt. It'll probably just get into contact with all the lizard droppings in the storeroom. :)

Things are going to get much stricter next year. But don't worry, it's still a place where we can have fun together. :)

Hey guys? We are facing a financial crisis.

No, this is really serious. Hmm so here's what's happening. Our current wushu funds, (which are with us) is $274. That is a total of funds for wushu monthly funds plus wushu chalet plus wushu T shirt.

The T shirt man just called me a few hours ago, and he said that we must collect the T shirts by this friday, otherwise the T shirts would be sent back to the factory/whatever and they will be gone. Yea, so it means our $150 deposit would be "BYE BYE"!

I don't want to make this sound too bad, but because of those people who told Gek Teng that they would be present for chalet, we ordered two chalet. Seems like only around 10 people turned up in the end, and that would mean that we are short of ALOT of money to pay up for wushu chalet cost. Gek Teng has a list of who said that they would turn up for the chalet, but didn't in the end, and we are going to have to call all off those to pay up for chalet as well. Either full sum $20 or $15 if we are kind. The amount to pay up is not yet confirmed, but do reflect that it's because of the people who promised to come thus we booked two rooms, otherwise I'm sure 1 would be perfect for 10 people.

Back to the $274 we have currently. To pay up for the shirts, we would need another $66. One of the committee members might have to pay for the rest of the money first, when we go to the shop to collect the T shirts on that day. And even so, WE HAVE $0 TO PAY UP FOR WUSHU CHALET. ZHIYI'S PARENTS PAID UP AT FIRST SO I DON'T CARE WHAT ALL OF YOU BETTER BRING ALL OF THE MONEY YOU OWE, ON 17TH AND 18TH TRAINING CAUSE EVEN IF YOU ARE ABSENT, WE WOULD STILL GO TO YOUR CLASSROOM AND COLLECT FROM YOU WHEN SCHOOL REOPENS.

Sorry for being harsh or anything, but those are facts.

After this year, 2008 will be a more hectic year for many of u all, i foresee. Orientation is startin... i bet u all hv started plannin. Next year mus attract ppl who are of higher quality hor, in terms of both character and wushu skills lah... No offence to anyone =x
Comp is startin really soon... So must jiayou! Jus to tell u all that most likely, i will not be under the same coach as u all shd i enter JC (will tell coach one day).. Hahas.. But nvm la, if DHS can get gd results nxt yr, Wushu also got face and will be a gd retirement gift to lian too... So must buck up and jiayou!

All station/game masters are to report to the school tomorrow at 8am in preparation for the wushu camp. For the rest of the wushu members, you are to come to school at 9am tomorrow.

This camp is compulsory and absence without reason is not tolerated.

Everyone is supposed to be wearing a school based T shirt or the wushu training shirt. Thanks for the attention.

Guys, after years, the Wushu T shirt design is finally finalised.

This is the front shirt design. Which apparently you guys don't have a choice for (:

And this is the back shirt design. I am going to give this 24 hours of time, and I am going to decide. What you guys could tag on the tagboard is the suggested colour or whether you agree with this colour for the background of the shirt, which is the 4 monks thingy.

Cause the guy told us different shades would be counted as different colours, this is what is going to happen. The WU word and "DHS WUSHU" would be black. While the background would be another colour. Thus, with 2 colours used for the back of the shirt, the shirt would cost $14 each and that is the price everyone is COMPULSARY to pay for.

Okay, so please put your suggested colour for the background, otherwise within 24 hours I would send this to the man to print out.

Wushu Camp Outing Updates!!
Hey ppl!! Guess what? Lian Lao Shi finally allowed us to go to SENTOSA for our camp outing! Yay! It's gonna be much more fun than the zoo & night safari. But his condition is that we cannot touch water or go to near the sea. So we shall all cooperate and b safe k.. Also, please bring along your water bottle, sunblock, extra set of clothes & a cap so that none of us will get dehydrated.

Other than the beach, you guys may also want to go play the skyride and luge. The luge is like a go-kart-kinda thing and its super fun, whereas the skyride is like an open air cable car thingy. Its really cool & i strongly reccomend u guys to go for it. Only, we have to pay for it ourselves. It'll be $5 for a skyride and luge combo. Its purely up to you guys on whether we want to play this but do bring extra cash in case we decide to. The plan now is just to decide on the day itself. We are also allowed to go to other attractions but their all quite pricey so this would be the best choice. You can check up the sentosa website for more details about it!

Thats all i guess. I think camp wil be fun this year! cya =)

Sorry for not cumin to visit all of you lately coz of my O's. It is draining my energy off la. Disgusting Os. LOL. Hahahs, so now the slacking Chee How is here to contribute something to the blog!

Well, heard from gek about the new comm. Quite surprising and unexpected for me, though i shall not elaborate. =x but then i really hope that everyone will work well in the new comm, though there may be some "obstacles" in ur planning work [u all know who la]. HAHAS. BUT no matter wad, u all must really listen to gek and mel, who have been trying so hard to plan for you the events in Wushu..

And anyway, though i am not in Wushu le, but i still can know wad happen during my absence.. pro rite? Hahas, as wad i was sayin, it is a new start for everyone, so there may be some conflicts or bu shuang around... So long as you did the right thing, dun care about wad others may say. [no offence to anyone =x]

Now for the camp, i received info from mel that u have reserved a slot for us to play games. BTW, YOUR CAMP SHD BE THE BEST IN LIKE HOW MANY YRS !!! stiu go night safari, for ur seniors, at most go somewhere near Tanjong Rhu or stay in sch. Sniff x2. LOLx. Back to my point, coz yi chen and chiat cant make it (maybe me), so for the games, there is a possibility tat it will be cancelled. PAISEH!!! But i promise that, if we have the time, we will come back and find all of you la! But dun worry la, i will make it for the chalet la!!! Though it is quite ex... =x

Next time, if i know of anyone who pon so often, i will make him or her pull their ears and stand outside the gym. HOHOHOHOHO! jk jk la.
